Information Systems & Visibility
Each city public transport stops has essential information, such as timetables, fare details and exclusion notices printed inside a stop shelter or on a pole marking the front of the stop.
Access to the Station
-
Most bus stops are integrated into footways, so their step-free access depends on the accessibility of the footway itself. Stops are accessible for passengers with reduced mobility, free of barriers or obstacles. In most cases, the stop is at the same level as the pedestrian route.
Enhanced Information Systems & Visibility
Alongside printed information, many stops are additionally equipped with electronic information displays. These displays feature LED technology with excellent visibility and durability in outdoor conditions. With these displays, passengers are able to see real-time information about next departures, plus other up-to-date information directly from the dispatching centre of the city public transport operator. The quality and extent of the provided information is being continually improved and refined. Currently, almost 300 platforms are fitted with LED displays, meaning passengers have access to real-time information at many locations throughout the city. The plan is to double this number in the coming years so that all busy stops are equipped with this technology.
